■ Steralenai Family
I wondered if a discarded empty can might look endearing if its surface were given a fuzzy texture...
This product is the result of applying a flocked finish—reminiscent of Sylvanian Families toys—to an empty can.
You can purchase them individually or in combinations.
Statement below ↓
Sylvanian Families are adorable. Just looking at them brings a strange sense of comfort.
Perhaps the reason lies not only in their charming forms and expressions but also in the soft, fuzzy texture that covers their tiny bodies.
If so, would we find something endearing—even if it isn't a doll—simply by giving it that same fuzzy feel?
An empty can is usually discarded once the drink is gone—a mere container that has served its purpose. What happens if we wrap its surface in fuzz?
You want to touch it. You want to keep it close. A small sense of attachment begins to form for something that, just moments ago, was nothing more than trash.
The boundary between what gets thrown away and what we cannot bear to part with
may not lie in the object itself, but within our own emotions.
Transforming something destined for the trash into something we can't bring ourselves to throw away.
